Only in America will living with your parents (FAMILY) be considered an embarrassing situation 🥴
@futurefind6742 жыл бұрын
I was just talking to my homeboy about that a couple days ago. That's partly why the economy in this country is so f*cked up. Everybody's trying to have "their own" when in other countries, the entire family stays together, and shares and saves a lot more than Americans do. We get "shamed" for living with our elderly mothers and fathers, while we REALLY should be shamed for putting them in homes and facilities with strangers who just want MONEY, and don't care about them at all. Smfh.
@jonathansoko1085 Жыл бұрын
In every country other than america, most people live with their parents till they are married. And sometimes, they still live there. Its not about being a failure, its about family and being together. Its sad that americans lost that idea.
@TruthHurtzButHealz Жыл бұрын
This is very true but who wants to live with their parents that long? I can understand if you fall on hardships and need to go back for a period of time but it's hard to grow into your own living at home with blood relatives.
@futurefind674 Жыл бұрын
@Truth HurtzandHealz I agree, if you'd LIKE to be on your own, that's fine, but a lot of people feel pressure from society, and schools to "go out and conquer", which is fine too, but some people don't want that, and shouldn't be made to feel like losers for wanting to remain around their families. ESPECIALLY if the family isn't dysfunctional! (Good luck finding THAT in Amerikkka, though!). Then you have parents that are tired, and want their homes reserved for them and their spouses only. If the parents and their kids are good with it, I don't see anything wrong with it, personally. In fact, it only strengthens the family unit. That's just MY opinion, though. 🤷🏾♂️

The Lox WAS Rapin-U Records 😂 I love them, but they were grimey young hood dudes at that time who understood that someone always gotta get fucked over in this music biz....whether it's the producer, the artist, the manager, or the label - someone isn't getting paid! Also, Jae Hood has never changed his story after 15+ years of telling it. To this day, we have still never gotten a true rebuttal from anyone in the D Block camp. What does that say? 😂 Everyone knows Sheek was making the least amount of money of The Lox, and I highly doubt Supa Mario was really making anything substantial either! That 60k probably held one of them down for a minute (if not both)!

Hoods impact in the group was similar to Juelz’s impact in Dipset. Both of them had the youth and were next level talented. Juelz career got clipped because of his drug addiction, and Hoods career got clipped because of The Lox.

@nativesun76612 жыл бұрын
They gonna have to bring on Sheek to tell his side/Lox side of the story. Cause from what I remember, just watching the drama play out at the time, lox were like ‘we treated homie like our own lil brother’ including literally going to dude’s stepfather’s crib and duffing him out for being abusive. And sheek in no way strikes me as the type to steal bread out the homie’s mouth. Something apparently happened. Would make a good interview. Do one with Koch records too. Shit, bet they would have tons of stories on indie hiphop from the 90’s-00’s era.

Two sides to every story. But what I would say is 60K don't just come up and go missing. If they used it for artistry or felt it was "due," I would like to think Skeek would front up and be like, "60K came your way, but we are holding that for ABC - Or way before the fact, "Listen, Hood, when money starts coming in, the 1st bits will have to cover the build-up." I hear people saying the business is wicked and it's dog-eat-dog. But I also feel there is a thing where people hear what they wanna hear and people remember what they wanna remember especially when they are riding high on the adrenaline of what could be
