AZ is a rare breed. A humble lyrical monster that doesn’t desire the spotlight and very content with the blessings God gave him regardless of people’s expectations of him. 💯 he doesn’t go out of his way to prove anything to anyone because he would rather let the work speak for itself 🫡🫡🫡

@@DjBoneyB Math with it, he just gotta build the right team. It’s one thing to be able to talk and articulate an opinion, but that’s not necessarily the right skill set in certain situations. That dude Mec showed poor social awareness; while I’m sure it wasn’t his intention, he came across as arrogant a few times in this interview.

AZ is throwing them off because he got into the game by being at the right place at the right time. He explained he couldn't have thought of his life unfolding the way that it has. His story is continuing to unfold. And he's not going to embellish his story for a few laughs. He's not Fat Joe and it's cool. lol I can relate because sometimes people want more and there isn't more...I answered your question. Take it or leave it. 😁 But like Mecca stated, AZ embodies what these other rappers claim to be. He's lowkey, still getting the money and doesn't crave the attention. When is part 2 of this interview dropping. lol

I was a teenage Hustler back then & I had a giant Gold bracelet & Gold watch. AZ was in a Lexus. He was looking at me like "Who the hell is this little kid" by his facial expression, back then I looked a few years younger than my age. While I'm looking like, "Oh sh!t that's AZ, one of my favorite Artist". 😂 The funny thing is, we're both from East NY, but that's the only time I remember seeing him. Salute to him though. It's painful as longtime fan to watch these guys have no good questions for him... you expect him to just sit there and give his life story without asking any specific questions, when you know that isn't his character? Tell me what made you who you are.... really? As someone that's listened to him for years I could have asked 1000 questions based off of nuggets he's dropped in his songs throughout the years. You guys need to work on your interview skills and research instead of hoping the artist will just divulge without it. Disappointing.

Yo! Why did the interview just stop!?!? Is there a part 2 coming? I'm glad you guys got AZ on, however I think you took too long to switch up your interview style and ask better questions. No one asked anything about Do or Die II, Truth Be Told, or the number of singles he was putting out in the years before DOD2. I would also liked to hear his thoughts on the project he did with Ghostface, 36 Seasons, and if he thinks Hip-Hop should do more projects like that (true full fledged story/audio movies). What are the sounds he's listening to when he's not making music. What is the best advice he's gotten from an older MC? How did it happen the Rakim narrated the short documentary about AZa few years ago? What are his thoughts on Steve Stout (we know Steve's opinion on AZ from Drink Champs). There's a lot of places this interview could've gone. Maybe it all happened after this video cut off.... I don't know, but it doesn't seem you guys were heading in any of those directions. 🤷🏽‍♂️

That’s the problem with AZ’s career, a beast lyrically but refuse to take risks, we play to win the game. You are talented for a reason, TELL YOUR FREAKING STORY-Let folks in. Nas is just as reserved but told his story. What’s your freakin story bro.. just frustrating

What they are saying is it’s hard to believe an artist could be that dope and not have a crazy story or process to go with it…I don’t think AZ realizes just how dope he is and how effortless it seems like his career was…it’s almost like he woke up at 19 and said “I think I’m going to rap” and then put out some of the greatest joints in hip hop history 😂

AZ was always nice but you can listen to him and see why he never blew up. His personality is just too laidback and that’s hard to market. He makes it seem like it doesn’t really matter, everything is like whatever. I always kept waiting cause I just knew he was going to give Nas a run for his money.

AZ has a lot in common with Jokic. Dude is a great basketball player but his passion is his horses. AZ has never been in it for fame just the money and there's nothing wrong with that. As a fan I used to be selfish and wanted more and he actually delivered in his own way. Legends like AZ owe us nothing. Respect to Brooklyn for giving us AZ, Jayz, Biggie, ODB, Talib Kweli, and Queens, my favorite rap Burrough in New York. From Nas, Cormega, Mobb Deep, 50, to LL and The Lost Boys.

No one ask did he feel torn between Jay and nas beefing being that he was cool with both No one asked about AZ scene in “Belly” The rumored deal with him Signing to Diplomatic Records How he felt about dipset using the “Mo Money” beat Ask if he really did take “sugar hill” from Capone like Capone said on drink champs So much more they could of asked Still I’m appreciative of a AZ interview

AZ the realist. What I mean by that is... he ain't fronting for nobody. He is who he is and that's it. He really lives by the old rules.. but because his lyrics ill... we feel him. He trusts us to just feel the music and he doesn't have to get us to buy it. He knows if he keeps it real... real G's gonna feel it and that's all he needs. When people meet him on some... "yo! You the illest jo. You my favorite rapper on the low." He be like... "aite" and just keep pushing. He prolly don't even want to hear that ish.

Mecca don’t get it. Some of these artists Nas in particular is in a totally different space, for him to drop everything else and do a joint album, it’s gotta make sense. They can’t just start making music and plan as they go along. This business. The numbers have to got to make sense to even start the project!

In a rap world that loves, promotes and follows bullshit, AZ goes against the norm and became a real man at a young age. Didn’t yap, kept a low profile and obliterated many MC’s!! Humbly acted on nothing but the music and the money. That’s his story and that’s also why so many Hip Hop heads follow… Peace from Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺
