@@marynassuna3792 Well math teacher's want to use their method (traditional method) so if you want to have good test score in division you just had to use the traditional method but guesstimetion and learning fractions to divide won't work even if your answers are not all wrong:/

Great video and I like when people encourage rounding to do calculation in the head like you do. Just a little note, at 4:40 you claim that error decreases by rounding up one number and down the other. That is only true when doing approximation for multiplication, for approximation of divisions it reduces error if you round the numbers the same way but it increases if you round them in different direction. PS: I love the last part about the cyclic behaviour of the decimals.

I think you made an error in the guesstimating area. You said if you round a number down and round the other number up you reduce the error. With a fraction if you were rounding one number up rounding the other up too would reduce the error. Like multiplying or dividing both numbers by 10

In my country you can't use calculator at all so I have to do 8 digets by 11 digits multiplication in my chemistry exams and almost all the exam time which is 3 hours for 18 problems is spent on multiplication so it takes a lot of time to multiply is there any way to multiply very large numbers faster
