मथुरा के नौहझील में दुर्गा मंदिर को लेकर विवाद छिड़ा हुआ है... स्थानीय लोगों का आरोप है कि यहां पूर्व में मां अम्बे का मंदिर था जिसे मुगलों ने तोड़कर वहां मजार बना दी लेकिन विवादित धार्मिक स्थल पर अब भी हिंदू देवी देवताओं की मूर्ति और तमाम वास्तुकला है.. जिससे साफ हो जाता है कि ये मंदिर है.... हालांकि मामला कोर्ट में लंबित है... हिंदुओं ने खुदाई और ASI जांच की मांग की.
