Just a bit of correction, the Norns can’t see Kratos die from old age. He can’t die of old age. In that sense he’s immortal. Even this game is around 1000 year after god of war 3. So, what they see or know is most likely the prophecy that Atreus and Kratos also knows.

Many people don't instantly get what the Norns want to tell Kratos, but it's essentially pretty simple. Kratos' nature is to always navigate towards violence and killing to get what he wants. In this case, to protect his son who is currently in danger because "Heimdall *intends* to kill him" "You are the sum of your own choices, and because your choices never change, your fate will stay the same. Kratos' nature is the thing that will end up killing him is pretty much what they mean.

@@matiasgago So all Kratos needs to do to live... is to choose NOT to kill a god he otherwise would have chosen to kill. He needs to not just intend to do better, but put that intention into ACTION. Should Kratos fight. He will died. Should he stay his blades, he may yet live.
@VerzaiCODM3 ай бұрын
@@TheBf666 You're both wrong and correct, see kratos in this version is physically stronger yes as he is a god and gods get stronger with age BUT he is A LOT and I mean A LOT weaker as he lost all of his magic, weapons etc back in greece with the fight against zeus the magic he once had, the weapons etc are genuinely overpowered he literally had hades soul and so on. If he had that magic in this mythology paired with the physically stronger kratos he would literally be stupidly powerful.. the game wouldn't really work that way either since it would be too short.. thor would've easily died in the first fight, odin would probably easily die as well.

Mimir is probably from the English Isles, because Urdr calls Mimir Puck. Puck is a mischievous character in Old English/Celtic myths, the king he served previously is the Faerie King Oberon! Puck is a member of Goodfellows, a mischievous group of faeries! There's also another reference to it further in the game! Kelpie is from Irish and Scottish folklore The Norns Skuld, Verdandi and Urdr represent three stages of life The Child, The Wife/Mother, and The Crone Respectively!

Perfect timing, take me into the weekend. ❤🎉 In Myth Loki is actually married to an Asgardian Woman, but he slips away from time to time. When they investigate they find out that he has an affair, with a Giantess (Angerboda), and that they have three children. Odin is scared because of some prophecy and decides the Children should be raised in Asgard. So the gods go to Jotunheim and just Yoink the Children. Fenrir is as big as a Wolf pup, Yormungandr is as long as a tree trunk, and Hela... Well she is half a sweet child, half a rotten corpse. They bring the three to Asgard and raise them... Then things go sideways. 😂❤

Great episode indeed! I really enjoyed this section and how they showed the Norns. What they told us was important too. I'd be really curious to learn more about the Norns lore, and how they came to be and know what they know. This also introduces a really nice theme in the game about one's own nature that they'll continue to explore throughout the game. I thought that was really nice and a good way to sorta explain how fate works in this pantheon. Also, hopefully we can get some more exploration soon too. Midgard is dope and so are the other realms. And you don't know it yet but you unlocked a pretty major side quest in the game. You'll have fun doing that I bet.😂 Can't wait for the next part though! To answer your question at 39:08, a Northern Inuit, or Tamaskan Dog are two breeds, that were bred to look just like wolves, but are made up of dog breeds (Husky, Malamute and German Shepherd are most common in their DNA). They are not for first time dog owners though, they require lots of time, training and energy. There are also many unethical breeders out there, especially with Tamaskans, so you have to watch who you adopt from, I hope this helps. Fun fact too, Northern Inuits were the breed used to portray dire wolves in the early seasons of Game of Thrones.

Also, advise on combat. Pulling off combo finishers and charged triangle attack of the blades is more useful than runic attacks. In Elden Ring, aow is like main source of dmg and rolling main source of dodging. In Gow, it is actually being able to execute an upgraded move from the skill tree. And the way to do that is by side step dodge which does not interrupt combo or charging flame whiplash. And if they are upgraded to increase momentum, use L1 triangle once the bar is filled. That, not runic attacks, should be your main source of dmg. Same thing with parries, they do not interrupt combo flow, except if you use guardian shield’s counterattack, which however, can be used to immediately charge triangle attack if timed right. I think parries also dont interrupt flame whiplash charging but i might be wrong

I love the way the Norns are portrayed They don’t seem to have the ability to see the future, they just have some kind of omniscience and know everything that’s happening and based on those informations they can predict how people will act The norn never says Heimdall was going to kill Atreus, they say he planned on doing it And they knew that that alone was enough for kratos to march head first into war The question is, can kratos prove them wrong and not kill Heimdall when he inevitably finds him?

Wish the iron wood section was mins long and got rid of that needles boss Gryla battle and the underground section and gave us somewhat freedom to explore Asgard, oh well 🤷🏻, just wishful thinking.
