It's Vasant's maticoor night!
A Maticoor night is a celebration to prepare the Dulahin, bride-to-be, for her new journey into married life. As we assembled at the Dulahin's house, the beat of the kettle drums, tassa, throughout the Maticoor ceremony welcomed friends and family and emitted an energetic and joyous ambiance.

Trinidad and Tobago West Indies in the Caribbean (this event is in Trinidad) Hindu wedding celebrations that starts on a Friday night with the rituals, then dance,music, and continues on Saturday night in some instances, then the ceremony for either the bride side and groom side . If it's a boy wedding, after all the ceremony is done they travel to the brides home, greeted by her family and welcomed with his party to the wedding ceremony takes places of with bride and groom.
