Oh, it's been ages since I've thought about Belloc, all those cautionary tales of moralism & conservatism. I'm not a big fan, but loved Dr Jenny's performance, great fun - quite a lark!

Oh I love Hilaire Belloc’s selected Cautionary verse. I’ve had this since I was a kid too and also Cautionary Tales. I have no idea what my parents were trying to tell me 😊. I loved Strewlpeter too. Fabulous reading, I really enjoyed this 😊

I remember this poem so well from when I was little! Must have been read it so many times. And now I've read The Second Mrs Tanquery as well. It wasn't suitable for a young girl as Mrs Tanquery was formerly a mistress if I recall correctly.
