I went to see this on a school trip with my band and chorus and while we were waiting for our bus after the show my chorus started to sing Some Nights which we had been working on for a concert and we kept singing as we walked to our bus that had arrived in the middle of the song and the chorus kids didn't notice but the girl who played Matilda that night and her parents had stopped outside the stage doors and started to watch us. My band teacher said that he saw her and she waved at him and gave him a thumbs up. I thought that that was really cool.

I went to watch this at the Birmingham hippodrome a few weeks ago it was amazing and 2 things blew me away 1 how did they swing the little girl by her plaits 2 how did they use the chalk on the board without using hands

Sienna Johnson Miss trunchable spins the little girl holding straps and when the light go out, they switch her for a doll . She goes and hides in the jackets whilst this is happening

To the people saying this isn't as good as the Broadway version, you make me laugh. What a silly thing to say. There wouldn't even be a Broadway version if the Westend version hadn't been an overwhelming success. And the Matildas themselves have genuine accents here. I've seen the Boadway version and it was brilliant. However, I'd never be so silly to think it's better than the West End production.
