U don't see many MASTER nitro RC/ electric hydro boat builders out there.. I've watched ur viddz through the yrs and you are definitely 1..yes sir. People don't know the time and $$$$$$$$ that goes into these builds..especially scratch building.. I have a friend who used to build scratch nitro hydro boats and the craftsmanship he put in to them was unreal...I have a SKAT KATT II NITRO hydro boat that is %80 complete..I will finally have some time to finish it up.. I have a vintage hydro boat from the 70s?? Or early 80s?? I'd love to know who built it??? I bet u'd know... my guess??my guess is a DUMAS??with a 1st or maybe 2nd gen FUTABA 2 CH RADIO that is a dinosaur for sure. ..please.keep your viddz Coming !!! I have a cable drive for it right now, and haven’t installed yet. I like your idea of having the option of either setup. If I recall correctly your mock engines are 3d printed yes? If so there are now light weight filaments that could save as much as 40% of the weight. They are available in PLA and ASA. I'd recommend using ASA so you don't have to worry about the PLA warping in the heat and sun.

@@M5PerfHydros We've only been using them in the RC airplane printing for about a year now. It is tricky to print and will take some trial and error to get your settings dialed in. It is a foaming print that is heat activated. It replaces some of the filament with air pockets to make it lighter. It is more fragile though. With most brands, the hotter you print, the more it foams. So it is a balancing act to balance print temp to achieve the desired weight.

did you change Ur throttle linkage set up in the Gasser? I had to mod. mine the servo was to close to the exhaust and over heated the servo or the vibration mounted next to the engine got to it when it was mounted to the hull bottom

That's a sore subject right now as my throttle linkage came apart during the race today. I had changed it to a traditional bellcrank setup but I'm thinking I'll change it back

When finishing the exterior do you use thinned west system thinned , sand prime , paint? Do you use thickened west system or wood putty (yuck) thanks

Yes, thin the epoxy to seal the exterior in the same way as you would the interior (see my video on the subject?). Sand lightly and shoot it!

It's a Nova Rossi .67 but no longer manufactured. I believe the only engine available in .67 marine right now is CMB

I have several of the Nova Rossi engines yet and plan to install one of those. Mounting and positioning are the same as a CMB, so the builder can go either way or electric. That decision is up to you
