Hi Mato greetings from Karlovac : D...too bad local chess club, once famous, succumbed too few veteran patzers with no young members to continue the tradition. Love your vids. Keep up.

mato brilliant. I found the move but not the moves after oh well, good too see you going strong still..

the problem with today GM's NO ONE plays like this , everyone plays d expected boring game , as if everyone is looking for a draw

They should use a system that you get 3 points for Winning like in football

@anastasia dmt Paul Morphy, Adol Anderson, Wilhelm Steinitiz all played amazingly creative and attacking games against equally competent players. Modern players are only good at memorizing engine movies, they have zero creative thinking.
@NightRider01013 жыл бұрын
@anastasia dmt And not to forget the games between Rashid Nezhmetdinov and Michael Tal. None of them was "weak" yet those games are very creative, not these boring draws we see these days.

Sometimes in a Chess game, you would have to ask; WWAD? What would Alekhine do?
@groth9018 жыл бұрын
good game. mato....would you please upload more games of alekhine playing with black pieces? i love to see what he does with his great imagination when he doesn t have the first move!
@Zodiac200038 жыл бұрын
I guessed d5. Mate threat on h2 if exchanged followed by taking on e6 and taking a lot of space. If it's ignored, just go pawn grabbing and you will trade a very passive pawn on g2 for a very dangerous one on e6.

Thanks once more Mato. Lawrence below referred to WWAD (what would Alekhine do?) moments. The problem is that if anyone knew the answer to that question, he or she would be as good as Alekhine, which might be true of one in a million players (if any)! The genius of Alekhine is absolutely breathtaking. The only player who matches him for sheer straight out of the blocks aggression and excitement is Judit Polgar, and, at times, Fischer.

I am a very new, bad chess player, I actually found that "killer move", with the knight sacrifice and then bishop, but I couldn't think any farther ahead and went back to looking for a better move. So now I feel very hopeless, I don't know a good move even if it smacks me in the face.
@Arisudev8 жыл бұрын
dont be sad... most gm wont find this move sequence too. mr gross didnt expect this kove either, that's why the sacrifice is allowed to happen.

A little historical mistake. Actually in 1929. it was called Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Sure the territory remained the same. Just the Government pushing for more Yugoslav unity instead of tribal allegiances.
