A lot of games with Keres playing with black pieces and crushing...me like like like! Always nice to see wins from a player playing black pieces. Keep up the good work Mato! I love your videos and they helped me a lot so far.

I think the most charming part of this series on Paul Keres is that Mato started with a game that he lost. Wonderful, Mato!

181/0 dislike ratio, let's see when the haters kick in. A very entertaining and helpful video as always Mato! I love it when you adress the critical positions and give us a heads up to look for the "killer move". That makes it all the more educative and interactive.

Lol calm down, it's just a figure of speech. No need to get your panties in a twist over a KZbin comment from someone you dont know.

Mato has playlist with many openings. He doesn't really "explain" those, but you can see how the games goes with different moves...

+eng.mahmoud Seddik join chess.com, it's free and they have free tutorials on the openings. Theory is better because the openings require a vast memory.

Keres, the best player who never became world champion? Thanks again and again Mato - for all the geografi lessons - and well timed chess reviews

Probably still Korchnoi - the best player who never became W Ch . Keres had more exciting games / wins and was in very top for a long time, but Korchnoi played 2 W Ch matches and was very close to win first match in Baguio 1978. Keres never became so close. Korchnoi only needed one win over exchausted Karpov in 1978 when he evened scored 5-5, but he was unpatient, went to banzai attack in next game and lost . Kasparov never made that mistake . He was ready wait for 17 draws to completely tire out his opponent until Karpov looked like death on 2 legs, lost 10 kg and he eventually reached his goal. Korchnoi was even closer, but missed it .

Ludwig failed to create an escape hatch which led to an amazing series of back rank invasions by Keres. Otherwise, Relistab played well. Keres stabbed his victim with relish.

+nikhil monarch maybe he better castled queen side then
@leerobbo92
@leerobbo92 8 жыл бұрын
+Brecht t It's a common idea, you often see higher level players move their king out of pins towards the corner. Castling queen side needed an extra move with the queen, wasting time.
@pizzashark7067
@pizzashark7067 8 жыл бұрын
Moving the king 'there' is often an excellent idea as long as you don't get mated on the back rank. Unfortunately, Mr. Rellstab failed to manage that.
