Good instructions, I’m glad you mentioned doing this in Bass Clef. I never have done Treble Clef very well. Thanks

Did you have any suggestions to maintaining a dark warm relaxed sound in the higher range, I feel I have a good tone up to an F above the staff in BC then it gets a lite bright and sound a little tight.

I used these vowels when doing long tone exercises since picking up my horn after 5 years of not playing. For tonguing syllables, I use TA should I use the ahhh and ohhh vowels when tonguing on faster etudes?

Since you have done a review on the JP274, how does the JP374t compare to this instrument and is it a good choice as an instrument for the end of high school and the start of college?

Hi Richie, I had JP374 previously for a while to test, it's very similar to my Sterling Virtuoso with exception that it's not hand made. Very full sound, a little bit more resistant than 274, definitely good projection, same valves like 274 and if you get a triggered version than you should be good with intonation for sure. Overall, definitely one of the instruments I would recommend for advanced players who are looking to get serious with playing but don't want to invest 7-10k just yet. Hope that helps my friend!

Matonizz Would It be worth it now due to the fact that the price of the JP374 has gone down to the ballpark of $3000-$4000, or would it still be a bit two high of a price. This is a reason why i was considering the Schiller Elite V which is seems like a better version of the Schiller Elite that you reviewed. The Schiller Elite V also has a trigger, but it is half the price of the JP374. That aspect in a way gives me doubt about that horn, as well as, the fact that there is no real review of the Schiller Elite V.

The only Schiller I've tried was the one you saw in the video, that being said, I've heard a lot of good things about it. Where are you located my friend? The best option would be for you to find a horn to try out. 374 is definitely an upgrade from 274, mainly when it comes to the size and projection of the sound, also, trigger is great to have. It all comes down to the materials they use, especially for the bell. Are you a high school euphonium player?
