That's pretty impressive. I just got the Mavic Mini for Christmas and I'm still trying to get comfortable with letting it go. Took it up to about 150ft today and was pretty nerve wracking seeing it that high up, though the view was pretty amazing. Next up will be actually flying the drone off my property. I'm not as comfortable doing flights like yours with mini because of the wifi instead of the Occu Sync system. I live in western WA though and if I can get comfortable with it, got some gorgeous scenery to see.

Was this a waypoint flight, or straight flight, because I’m noticing that you still have signal, and I’ve only attained that kind of distance during waypoint flights, with the Phantom 4 pro, and Mavic 2 pro?
@kingvally4 жыл бұрын
It was all Me Brother, dont really trust waypoints yet. maybe you can mentor me?
@Soldierboy19864 жыл бұрын
@@kingvally I have no issues with that. I started out with a cheaper standard, and allowed that to make the flights first, at 100’ AGL, because I knew that nothing here was taller then that except towers which I mapped out and avoided. I then sent both the standard and P4P on a formation flight on the same waypoint mission via my iPhone, and iPad , and they both returned and landed on my lawn. I started using Litchi, which was better then the DJI program for waypoints, and the rest is history. I’ve done that distance with 12 % battery left.

Good afternoon my friend. I am sorry to hear that! What is the orientation office your antennas? I am using the enterprise RC Pro.
@wadebradsher2973 Жыл бұрын
@@kingvally I have the smart enterprise controller. I try to keep the antennas pointing straight out the back
@kingvally Жыл бұрын
Then that would be your problem, what you are experiencing is attenuation from the antennas. The antennas should be pointed down with the flat surfaces pointing outward, or if their crafts above, they should be pointing straight out with the flat surfaces pointing upward.

How is this range possible? I am using the m300 with the d-rtk2 station. I believe I have ocusync on and I have never seen the blue icon on the top middle of my screen. I am at the highest elevation on some sites and as soon as I start getting 1000-2000ft out it starts to lose signal. If I am doing something wrong and you have any advice? Thanks in advance!

Yea same here, mine goes max 2km before the signal cuts out

Keep in mind the frequency is first of all. You can see 5.8G over there that means relatively clear radio environment. And of course it's FCC mode.

@bosbombo24089 ай бұрын
Yeah, I couldn't find a way to do it. I wanted to know how did you get that range. Were you on top of a building, did you have stock antenna or signal boosters? I get scared to fly a certain distance because my RC switches for strong to weak constantly
@kingvally9 ай бұрын
Good morning friend, All systems are stock. What is important is your line of sight, antennas' direction, and angle. If your antennas are in a horizontal orientation, you will experience attenuation, which would cause the symptoms you are describing. Please ensure your antennas are vertical facing in the direction you are flying. Lastly, complete an IMU calibration in the area you flying to help normalize various external signals. Fly safe friend, and may God bless you and yours!

Not too bad. Not sure the $19K price tag is justified or not though.
@santiagotrujillo26562 жыл бұрын
Mark that aircraft doesn't cost 19K, unless we're not talking about USD. I think the one I got for my company was around 6K for just the aircraft. You do have to buy the battery station since it's the only way to charge the batteries and each battery is around 500-600 USD.
@markgiles85272 жыл бұрын
@@santiagotrujillo2656 True that. Just had to come back and take another look at this flight. Here in Australia, I have seen the M300 for around AUD$13000. But, like you say, still needs batteries, etc etc. What do you think of the M30?
@santiagotrujillo26562 жыл бұрын
@@markgiles8527 depends on what you're thinking on using the M30 for. Inspection, search and rescue surveillance go ahead, for LiDAR it won't work as the landing gear is very short for third party payloads or even the L1 and flight time is about 30% less than M300. For photogrammetry I'd still go for the m300 because of its flight time.
