Greatest explanation ever, our professors are generally teaching on matrices unlike I think any other university in the world. (From Bilkent University with love)

I am a Ph.D Scholar, and I did a course before on this, but never understood the concepts so clearly. This video not only helps us to learn Simplex, but this video also helped me how to teach simplex to someone. Generally people start with matrix method and then goes to tabular method, which is a wrong way to teach. Thanks a ton for this beautiful series of videos on Simplex. Millions of blessings from my side for this.

The explanation of the algorithm is itself brilliant, but can you suggest some sources to get the intuition behind these operations with matrices?

your videos are very useful but without music they could be perfect... it's distracting and unnecessary

I realy like these movies but please, do something with this piano malody constantly repeating in the background. Listening to the same piano patern for 15 minutes can drive people crazy ;)

Hello, I have one quick question. For the 3rd constraint at 1:49 of the video. Why is your artificial variable labeled A3 instead of A1, since is it the first artificial variable being introduced? I would have thought that the artificial variable would be A1 since it is your first one. Hope this made sense. Thanks
@GOALPROJECT3 жыл бұрын
Usually, the subindex of the slack variables and the artificial variables are given based on the row or constraint where they appear

Thanks for clear explanation. Can you please confirm whether the method of solving Matrix form of LPP as in the above video and the revised simplex method are different?

what is the purpose of adding the artificial variable A3?

I think he is using Big M method.

excellent ..but how did we know that -2M-4 is the smallest ??
@GOALPROJECT6 жыл бұрын
You should think that M is a large number, for example, 1000. Then -2M-4 = -2004. If you substitute the other M's for 1000, then -2004 will be the least of all.

Because M is usually assumed to be Infinity. But because we cannot input Infinity in Computer , therefor we take M as a Large number such as 1000 or 9999 etc.
