And if your car broke down on the bridge on the way there or back, no worries, somebody you knew was going to drive by and pick you up!! But my absolute favorite was sitting on that back deck at 5 o’clock in the morning watching smoke rise up off the water, the DJ would play The Howling Mix Sanctuary and every single person would run inside and pack the dance floor!!! Those were the days ❤

I remember buying a cassette titled "the battle of the boom" at a music+ store, I believe it was located at the intersection of Ventura Blvd and... Resida Blvd?, I'm not sure, and I can't remember what year too,but regardless I came back the next week to get another one because I loved it so much that I needed to make sure that if something happened to the first cassette I would have a backup and not to lose my newly found treasure 😅; the tape has a collection of bass track songs and it includes this one,time to rock, feel my bass and others of similar style; the tapes ended up in Mexico and I still have them in a plastic container. I spent many years looking for the compilation but in a CD format and I found it around the year 2010 I think on a limited release that was made available thru GEMMS or maybe Discogs I can no longer remember but nevertheless I treasure it along with other CDS of similar style that I have collected over the years; like the Miami Bass machine and DJ magic Mike's among others and still, after all this time I love them 😍 😍 😍.
