Nice video👍👌 The shape of BH2Cl is trigonal planar. So there is a C2 axis of symmetry passing through B-Cl bond.

@Билимот
@Билимот 5 жыл бұрын
@@akshaymandhotra3056 NHCl2 is trigonal pyramidal, because of the lone pair in nitrogen atom. So, it is not planar and you can't find a C2 symmetry.

Thank you sir. Sir hocl is linear so is it shows c2 symmetry?
@AllBoutChemistry
@AllBoutChemistry 6 жыл бұрын
T Bhavani, HOCl is linear but there's no Symmetry elements except a mirror plane, so it will not give C2 Symmetry. Rather it will give only a sigma plane and Point group will be Cs, I'll suggest you to watch my previous videos on basics of group theory where I've discussed about this molecule and may others.

All 'Bout Chemistry sir hocl should have only identity operation I think. Because it is bent like H2O. That means C1
@AllBoutChemistry
@AllBoutChemistry 6 жыл бұрын
Vishal Roy, if it is bent, then also you can apply a molecular plane which will bisect whole molecule. Like sigma h plane in H20 which bisect all the atoms.

@AllBoutChemistry
@AllBoutChemistry 6 жыл бұрын
correct option will be 4, 2S4 cannot be equal to S2, but 3S6 is equal to S2, this is valid for odd numbers like 3S not for even numbers like 2S
