That Sydney LeRoux bicycle goal was so fantastic, and happened during a mad match where Angel City FC got some brutal revenge against the Portland Thorns beating them in their last match. Portland’s winning goal in that game was scored *by their goalie* who had abandoned her in to give her team a last-ditch one person advantage, scoring in the final seconds. It was a brutal loss for ACFC and made them hungry for the win in this game.

There's a mix of legit good plays and funny mistakes here. More than female football I see a representation of US football. 09:27 This looks like a goal, but it isn't. It's a foul. Even if it's the smallest push, against the gk pretty much any touch in the small box is a foul.

Is there any reason why women goalkeepers disproportionately just... suck? So many goals could've easily been prevented if there was an ounce of skill or thought, or idk, catch the ball?

Women, like men, sometimes fumble the ball, this video presents '1 in a million' moments so it's both brilliant moments and wacky mistakes and obviously the funniest/most entertaining mistakes are from keepers. I've seen some crazy fumbles from male goalkeepers across various leagues in UK football, it's not that the women gk suck, you just see more moments where they suck because goals scored by the other team and mistakes form the keeper are what get shown more. Also part of goalkeeping and sports in general is physicality and women GK have less height and smaller hands than they're male counter parts and the way they get into the game and the timeline of it all is often quite different as there's not as much emphasise on recruiting them into the game young like in men's football so there may be some goals that are on target for the tops or far sides that are harder for them to get to than a men's GK because they are shorter but the goal is the same size as the men's goals.
