Salutations to Matsya the fish who was the protector of the Vedas during maha pralaya of the yuga satya. Manu ( the first man ) was a great devotee of vishnu. Lord Vishnu in a form of a fish said to manu during the 7th day there will be a great destruction in the ocean. Manu followed Vishnu's command . He took very large ship with 7 rishis , animals , plants , trees medical herbs and few creepers with him. When the ship was about to sink lord Vishnu in the form of large fish with one horn on head , saved the ship of manu. Prayer of Matsya Avatar "Pralaya payodhi jale" "Dhritavan asi vedam" "Vihita vahitra charitram" "Akhedam" "Keshava dhrita" "Meena sharira" "Jai Jagadish hare"
