Murphy was the team coach of Wales and they had a match on the day before the crash so was not on the plane

@@davidgearn8018 When I did a tour of Old Trafford the guide pointed out that in the squad photos Murphy is always sat near a bunch of the players who lost their lives as they were all close, so many think he would have perished in the crash had he been on the plane

@@afcfinners yes, you're right. Jimmy Murphy and Bert Whalley coached the young players until Matt knew they were good enough to play in the first team and what an impact they made! Although his heart must have been broken with their tragic loss, it's thanks to him for keeping the team going after Munich getting to the cup final and then helping Matt rebuild.

Great film but so many inaccuracies Mark Jones portrayed as the captain, when in fact it was Roger Byrne. Showed Duncan Edwards drinking beer,he was teetotal
