I'm here because of this beautifully written novel. Oh my, what a read! In many ways (having come out at 36) I am Albert, having been caught with another lad in 1976 when we were 12 years, but burying the terrible event so deep, keeping it secret and even marrying in 1985 and having 4 beautiful children. Eventually we parted on extremely amicable terms after my then wife decided we had married too you and she had changed. To my surprise, I fell in love with a man at 36! Several disastrous relationships later, I am now happily married since 2009 to my husband whom I met in 2000.
