Well, because first he is a Heel and never related to deathmatches at all is more into the atletic style, Gage in GCW is a hero they love him for his deathmatches more from his ring skill. and you know GCW wil never want a WWE superstar wins over his hero so thats it. Personally i dont like how the crowd reacts (throwing garbage) i know your mad because his the heel but is not necessary to do that

Also you say death match wrestling is garbage . But you fail to realize there are many , many types of styles of wrestling . Wrestling for different markets of fans. Death match, strong style, technical , brawls, lucha , comedy , submission and many more. The beauty of wrestling , there is no right or wrong way of doing things. Those 2,000 fabs loved the death match and gcw is a fast growing company and that is what matters.
