It is not a heart-wrenching cry-fest most musicians nowadays usually try to make, rather a soft and nostalgic melancholy. I love your music for that, from Drinking Songs to Broken Man, and this is amazing on par with your bigger albums!

I've never heard anything like this. I don't like when modern musicians cover old songs but it's really great. From the first notes I plunge to my childhood memories. Hot summer, silent house, fields of wild herbs and fir forest. And this song... I really love history and when I find out that it's song that was singed by Ella Fitzgerald and that it has written by George Gershwin in 1935 I feel myself like a child who discovered a great secret. I'm young but i really love songs that were written in beginning of last century. I'm from Russia so I usually listening singers from my motherland but I anyway love foreign songs. Hope you will try to listen our singers too like Aleksandr Vertinsky, Sasha Makarov and Pyotr Leshchenko and you will understand my bad english. And I love your music. That's reaches the most sacred parts of soul.

@@christosis oh, you just need to listen russian natives to understand how to pronounce most of words that you need to know. When I started to learn English I listened a lot of songs and just chatting in English. That's why some of foreigners can't to discover that I'm russian before I will tell them about it and say some words. We have a lot of ways to say hello by the way. Such a great cover, your guitar is always so beautiful. Unrelated but I don't know where else to put it, I wanted to recommend something to you! I get the impression you like to explore a lot musically, so I wanted to tell you about subharmonic bass singing. It's a really cool vocal technique that allows you to sing an octave below a fundamental note; more than that, if you get really good at it. So if you're singing a C3, for example, it will sound like a C2. It's also very croaky and malevolent sounding! I think you could do it pretty naturally, you're very close to it on Reap What You Sew (I've been using that song to practice this technique, actually). There's some really great videos explaining more about it and how to do it here on KZbin! As I've been learning how to do it, I can't help but think of ways it could be used in your music, especially with the way you layer tracks on loops.

Summertime, and the living is easy. Fish are jumping, and the cotton is high. Oh, your daddy's rich, and your ma is good-looking. So, hush, little baby, don't you cry. One of these mornings you're gonna rise up singing. Yes, you'll spread your wings and you'll take to the sky. But 'til that morning, there's nothing can harm you. Yes, with daddy and mammy standing by. Summertime, and the living is easy. Fish are jumping, and the cotton is high. Oh, your daddy's rich, and your ma is good-looking. So, hush, little baby. Baby, don't you cry. Oh, don't you cry. Don't you cry. Oh, don't you cry. Don't you cry.
