Best fucking band in the world! Every single one of them Virtuosos. They will indeed have a massive part of music history!

I tend to agree... It's something new to me. Never heard anything like it
@isaacapellido339 жыл бұрын
I agree, but I don't know that they'll have a massive part of music history. They absolutely should, but all these freaking bubble gum pop fans out there can't appreciate actual music. We're in a world where Justin Bieber is a baller. That's pretty problematic for real music, by actually talented artists. Sorry for the rant. Love me some AAL.

everytime i watch this here or live, it always amazes me. hes honestly one of my biggest inspirations, for the fact that he worked his ass off at berklee and got into one of my favorite bands. one of the things i wanted for aal was for them to not be so regimented during their live performances and stray away from what it sounds like recorded. when i first found about matt joining their group, i thought hed do just that, and he did. i can only hope that one day i become as concise with my rhythmic ideas as he is =P

To all the 'overplaying / non musical' comments, I'm pretty sure this track is used as a 'drum feature' track in the set. Although he is tearing the ass out of all the other songs, they don't all feature this amount of playing out. The mans a beast & is a v musical player, he just happens to be able to absolutely rip on this one. I love navene & what he brought to AAL performances but you cannot knock this guy's talent or suitability for the band (imo).

Both of their videographers who were hired for the games aren't competing against each other, they are just

Only problem with a band like this is consistency. Technically yes, but writing I dont know. After two albums I feel they will suffer from the Meshuggah effect. Its been there done that. They try to make every song so impressive they use up just about all their liks, fills, solos, rythms, breaks etc. Gonna be hard for them to have a career as one band with one sound unless they drastically change.
@blakeu85479 жыл бұрын
FanaticDrummer I was gonna agree with you until I heard some of the new riffs tosin has been putting up on instagram/facebook. Some are completely new and different from anything they have done before, believe it or not tosin still has stuff to learn (he said so himself. He's been trying out new techniques).
@kiliabgonzalez99779 жыл бұрын
If the creativity is there then they won't have a big problem making unique music. Sure they might keep their same sound just like many other bands do, but it doesn't mean it's gonna sound exactly the same as their previous stuff. It's almost impossible to run out of ideas when it comes to music. There's countless of things you can do with it.

My humble guess... : 0:00 to 0:50 = kind of a 4/4 thought like a 12/8 with irregular displacements. Odd transition at the end... 0:50 to 1:10 = 5/4 1:10 to 1:38 = 5/4 with something like 3/4 + 5/4 at the end (or 4/4 twice) 1:38 to 2:20 = 5/8 2:21 to 2:52 = 5/4 with two 6/4 bars at the end. 2:52 to 3:25 = 5/8 3:25 to end = 4/4 *sigh* I happen to often count 5/4 bars like 10/8 = (6+4)/8 bars.
