At this level its less about who is better and more just what flavor you prefer. Both are unreal excellent. There’s things in both players that I prefer over the other but this isn’t really a representation of what they’re capable of either - clearly as both within a band setting are even more incredible.

Mics or no mics lil Fred has mastered the art of dynamics with every chop or roll since he was 10 years old. His stokes are independent of each other with no clutter.

I've heard of both and Matt's drumming in animals as leaders is machine-like awsome. But here i'd say it's matt that's having to keep up with Fred.. He's actually ridiculous, and his explosive creative flow seems endless.. Super confident with an extensive vocabulary.. Bad man!

I like freds blistering singles linear style, Matt always brings the flams. His double bass interlacing was a nice touch
@Dudeyeah60112911 жыл бұрын
Eh. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. It seems like Matt is crushing his left and bass splits (playing too fast?) which almost emphasizes Fred's ability to fit right up in that muhfukin pocket which is more enjoyable for me. Fred gets excited and hits the drums in weird places sometimes tho...my 2cents

I just wish they used more dynamics. It gets old seeing them beat their kids to hell.
@bndncn10 жыл бұрын
The channel's called Gospel Chops, not Gospel Groove or Gospel Hang In The Pocket. Personally, I think they were exceptionally dynamic, especially given that context. Drummers don't get much better than this.
@SmangItDrums10 жыл бұрын
Beating their kids to hell? You sure you're on the right channel, bro?
@Rkiser059210 жыл бұрын
uuuuh there's more dynamics in a quarter bar of what they play..then you can even fathom....definitely in the wrong place
@robthedrummer10 жыл бұрын
Rkiser0592 not bashing their chops, just saying they could play with more range and feel is all. They are just flying around for the most part. I know they could play better dynamically.

@ericmickens62876 жыл бұрын
Ricky Rockaboy Harris in all honesty i think fred was playing like that because of the track its a rock track. A gospel track u can use more dynamics. Rock music uses less dynamics than gospel music or rnb and soulful music
