Because this is Kings-or-Better Joker Poker, so only the Ace and King pay off if you pair them. So in this case, that was actually the correct play. It's possible that this might change if you're playing a non-Ultimate-X version, depending on the specific pay table.

It’s joker poker. You need pair of kings or better which makes the Q almost worthless to hold (good luck getting 3 more cards for royal). Hence, why AK is the hold

Do not change strategy from multi-line for single-line. The odds of hitting hands are the same for every line you play, regardless whether it's 1 or 10.

You mentioned you should never keep just the joker in joker poker. I think if I’m dealt Q, 8, 5, 2, joker and it is rainbow I’m keeping just the joker

With that hand, W8 would be the play. The middle cards are the most valuable (other than A and K) because they form the most straights and straight flushes.

Zero zero zero zero chance I would ever keep joker and 8 in joker poker (even with my obsession for Ochos por favor). I don’t care what the math says, I just can’t see myself keeping Joker 8. Too often the math leads to $500-900 losses on Monday night lives streams while chasing multipliers.

Well, we are in south Florida and about 75% of the population speak Spanish. That's why, on occasion, we ask for 8's in Spanish. Sometimes the machines may prefer it!

Since the machines and programming maybe made in China, may be the machines understand Chinese language better., would be nice to know where it all is made at. Edit, my mind is stuck in the song "The body electric " by the band Rush... Nothing more nothing less.
