Matt, I didn't see a way to message you directly so I will leave this here. I want you to know you and Trivium were an abnormal and powerful tool in my life when I was 13 (a little over 13 years ago). You guys were the first metal band I really heard (Ascendency album) and you all brought me peace, joy, happiness, reflection, company, and strength in a time where I when my parents left me and I found myself in a several children's homes. This is not a sappy story. The point is I appreciate your music, talent, likeability and story (I watched your Matthew Kiichi Heafy: Failure video). This isn't for attention or likes or anything- I am legitimately thankful for you, your story and your band. When I had no one I had your album- and that's AWESOME! I also play guitar now too and play shows and gigs :). I love your channel brother! Keep being awesome. Not all heroes turn up bad :). -Colt

Merry no joke that part made me fall in love even more. When I saw them in concert three weeks ago he was so worried about the fans cuz it was hott as hell in the venue. He kept passing out water to all of us. Just goes to show he cares. So awesome. It was such a lil thing but it made a big difference.

The year it released, the 'Ascendancy' record almost literally was the main thing that pulled me out of the worst depression I have ever experienced in my life at 19 years old. I listened to that album front to back for months on end. It truly changed my life. I wish I could've been a part of this AMA live.

Matt you're a huge inspiration, I was about 15 when you put out Trivium's first album came out and I'm from Central Florida and just knowing someone that was only a few years older than me was putting out good music and doing shows in Europe and stuff really lit a fire under my ass at that age and got me working harder on my guitar playing and my song writing man and now I'm a Truck Driver driving around the country and recording my own music in my free time loving life thank you so much.

I was at your show in San Antonio recently. It was my first metal concert and it absolutely blew my mind. I had never experienced anything like that before. I had heard a few of your songs before the concert but after seeing you live I’m a fan for life and I listen to y’all all the time. We were only a few people away from the barricade in the front and I had such an amazing time, despite how hot it was. Lol.

Trivium is one of my favorite bands of all time, and I can assure you that long long time in my life when I had really shitty/intense days or thoughts I listened to your amazing music, from the old albums to the more recent ones, in a regular manner. He had a stream scheduled, so instead of just saying, "Oh, sorry guys, can't do it" like most people would, he comes up with something he can do on the way home to at least give people something.

duel guitar strap is a great idea. I've been playing guitar for 22 years now and working construction for 20 years I'm 34, I'm old enough to where 20 years of hard swinging a hammer with my right arm has messed with my shoulder alignment and 20+ years of holding any guitar light or heavy on my left shoulder fucked shit up even more. it's a great strap for people who have back problems and want to jam, and not have to sit down to do it. and I've never heard this guy's music I was brought here through an article about a double strap on 4-5-19. didn't hear nothing about his double strap but talked about it anyway
