We visited Matt at his good friend’s beautiful apartment in Chengdu. The emerging fresh-soul artist performed his unreleased single “You Ain't Got to Know” from his upcoming debut album.
The improvised piece has the charm of old-school R&B - the rhythm session is on point and has a soulful taste, supporting his magnetic voice. During the interlude, the skillful impromptu keyboard solo reveals that he is indeed a talented new act with enormous potential. We instantly melt into Matt's melody and smile.
After the performance, It was so cheering to see this versatile young artist talked about his dedicated fasination with music and pure aspiration for a simple lifestyle. The timing was just right for all of us to return to the true nature of love.
