i've had this friend. perhaps the only true friend i've met in my entire life. he was my best friend, every day we spent together was a colourful memory. i've always been a sad person, my days tend to be grey, but whenever i saw his smile my whole day converted into the most colourful piece of art. it's like being with him was that warm sunset you see after coming back from a long long day. i never got the chance to tell him how much i appreciated him. how much i liked him. how much he made me happy. i always tried to keep myself away, trying to not get attached to him. now there isn't a single night where i don't want to be with him, where i don't want to go back where we were together and tell him how much i loved him and that i still love him. even tho he's away, i will never ever forget him. i know he's never going to see this. so this is just an empty comment on one song that reminds me of him. so please. tell the person you love how much they mean to you. how much you love them. there's nothing to lose. you won't regret later if you do it.

TThis song speaks so much volume to me. It's sad how underrated Matt is, I discovered him by accident not long ago and I fell in love with his music. The feeling of nostalgia hits whenever I listen to this song, remembering the moments I had with the people that meant so much to me --that I no longer have. No matter how much you try to save what you both had with a person when it's finished, there's nothing you can do about it except accepting the matter of the situation. :) We grow as we go, but right now I'm just gonna drown and cry by myself in these momentary lapses of sadness whenever I think of you. :) It honestly sounds different when you're alone, so vulnerable. Thank you for this. :)

My ex broke up with me put of no where with little to no explanation and I didn't really process it well so I wasn't initially as sad as I thought. Until a couple months ago when it really hit that she left me while I still loved her and im alone now. I texted her trying to get a reason but got nothing. This song and Matt's music really pulled me out of my sad pit and let me realize that "Life goes on" . Moral of this is that it's okay to be sad and upset as long as you know when to move on
