I was wondering why this guy isn't on radio. Then it occurred to me. His music is too real and relatable to the working class. Not just spoiled rich high school kids. Song has soul. Not another tail gate love song in daddies truck drinking shitty bud light song. I love it. Fuck pop country. Thank god for ppl making real country.

Matt Mason is a true country artist. I have followed him since Nashville Star. His voice is timeless. He is a true artist. Very humble and honest. Ive had the pleasure of meeting him and sitting down to a meal with him. This is what true country music sounds like!!!

I know lonesome, like a desert knows the sand I know heartache, like the back of my hand And I know leavin', like a river knows to run I know goodbye, like a bullet knows a gun I wanna love you, give you the best of me I wanna tell you, I ain't ever goin' to leave And that settin' sun won't fall on me this time I'm just a cowboy lookin' for a reason to ride I know that smile and right where it leads I know my heart, I know just how it bleeds And the last thing I want is to see you get hurt I keep that saddle on, so no body gets burned Maybe I can love you, give you the best of me I can tell you, I ain't ever goin' to leave And that settin' sun won't fall on me this time I'm just a cowboy out here lookin' for a reason to ride Reason to ride
