I was gonna pick up a wethepeople hybrid hub once they were back in stock, but that odyssey prototype hub really caught my eye 👀 I had a clutch v1 and it couldn’t crankflip for shit 😂 also, it lasted a week before the plastic slack spacer cracked.

You gotta chill bro you shouldn’t be breaking the plastic slack adjuster after a week? The only way you’re doing that if is you’re not used to a free coaster and constantly slamming on your pedals with full force… I ain’t ever heard of anyone breaking that after one week…

@@lukasstipp_bmx I’m sorry what? 70lb? Then you would’ve had to of been like 8 or something? How would you be breaking it in the first place cause no kid that young is breaking something like that…. Also slamming doesn’t have to do with your body weight? If you’re doing big gaps on a free coaster, and there’s no slack, the clutch is fully engaged, than you landing hard will turn your pedals a bit. Landing that hard on a free coaster will break the plastic adjuster. If you’re doing gaps on a coaster you need to make sure you’re not fully engaged cause that can fuck up a clutch too. Like I said the only way you’re breaking that is if you’re new to a free coaster

maybe its not the hub, but other things that hold your cranks back from spinning.. -chain tension too tight -cranks too tight -bb bearings tacoed -chain toasted -sprocket completely worn down whatever it may be this might help you out lol

@@eddielalowski4425 then maybe open it up and check if you blew any bearings? or check if theres dirt inside and clean it up.. Dont forget to put in a little bit of grease before closing it again because otherwise it could explode lol

@@likamuuk yea truth I check my hub once a month and everything internally is doin pretty adequate besides my driver. I had an issue with my driver a couple months ago where the spring clip on the outside in-between the teeth and the metal piece that hits the frame and slides over the axle popped out and my driver got weird and the two pieces moved around from each other a little more than they are supposed to. After warrantying it and putting in my brand new driver, my cranks spun even less and then that spring broke again and it went back to how it was before. I feel like its a common issue bc of how easily it happened to me twice but I don’t know.

Thats a bolt to tighten the slack of the coaster. On the clutch coaster there is chrome thing covering it.
