Matt Ryan is class personified. The humblest superstar to ever do it and he still managed to shine in a league full of primadonna quarterbacks. This man always said and did the right thing. He never shied away from the pressure or the scrutiny, took it on the chin when most people would try to cower and hide. Quite frankly, as much as he claims he was lucky to come here... the truth is the city of Atlanta was lucky to have him. He saved this team when they were down so bad in the gutter. Truly an honor to have watched him play. The Greatest Atlanta Falcon to EVER grace the field. MATTY ICE FOREVER 🔴⚫️ Congrats to him on an incredible career and thank you for everything, not just the countless memories, literally everything. 🙏🏽

A class act. Micheal Vick fans never accepted him. When he played well, Vick fans stayed quiet. When he had a bad game, out came the pitch forks. Always liked Matt.

I didn't know how much I needed today and Matt to have his press conference and this interview. It's been cathartic to hear him talk about his time here. And while I was only part of it from the stands and through the television screen, it felt good to reminisce with him. Thank you, Matt. Forever my QB1.

Matt was the consummate professional and showed up every Sunday ready to lay out it all out on that field. I think many of the fans took that for granted. How often he would get up after taking brutal hits. His consistency and the excellence he brought to a position that was in disarray after the Vick situation. Watching him get choked up when talking about his wife made me appreciate him even more because she saw the sides of him that we, as fans, didn't see. I wish him even more success in retirement than he provided to us over the most successful stretch of years in our organization's history. MR2!!

Call animal control. He is the hall of very good but not of fame. U can write the history without him...except an anecdote about him helping to blow the biggest lead in a super bowl.

@@CarlosFlores-mz6fw What a horrible argument. You can say that about the majority of the guys who are already in and that will ever go in. There are a lot of QBs in the hall that are dwarfed by Matt’s numbers. Period.
@CarlosFlores-mz6fw
@CarlosFlores-mz6fw 7 ай бұрын
@jordanbyates 😆. I disagree. In a passing league his numbers will soon prove to be pedestrian. He can pass players from the 70s 80s n 90s who played in a running Era but he will never have the impact. The argument " stats are for losers" actually fits Matt 😆 . If all u can say is he piled up a lot of yards while losing then u r making my argument. Best example is John Elway. Mr2 passed him but was never an iconic player or a winner like Elway. Take your bias out of it.
@jordanbyates
@jordanbyates 7 ай бұрын
@@CarlosFlores-mz6fw 4th all time in 4th quarter comebacks look at that list and tell me that’s not a HOF. If you think Matty Ice isn’t a part of the NFL story you just don’t know history. The Michael Vick scandal bread Matt Ryan and he rose to the occasion and set more records than Mike ever thought about. A lot of quarterbacks came and went between 2008 and 2023 and only a couple of them have numbers anything like Matt. Just because Dimitroff failed him by not putting a defense on the field or an offensive line that could block, and Shanahan failed him by not running the ball a couple of times at the end, that doesn’t take away from the fact that he is one of the greatest QBs of all time.
@CarlosFlores-mz6fw

@@jordanbyates the Hallnof Fame is about winning big games and iconic moments. Not stat compiling while mostly being mediocre. He was definitely better than Eli. Yet he crumbled in the biggest moments while Eli rose to the occasion. I think Matt was a great player but not an all timer.
