Nah, we never forget our first Doctor and we won't forget the last one either. For me it was Tom Baker. I can't forget him either. It really depends on the fans. Most people have a favorite and I can't say Matt was mine. But there are several people who loved Matt's Doctor and for many Matt was probably their first Doctor so he won't be forgotten.

I started watching Dovtor Who when Matt started playing him. I live in the US and they started airing it here then. So Matt will always be "my Doctor" and he's my favorite (I have seen some of the others on vids online and they were good as well) So I am gonna be missing him very much!

No they didn't start airing Doctor Who with Matt Smith. They started airing Doctor Who with Christopher Eccleston her in the USA. I know because I started watching with him back in 2006. BBC America didn't get onto Direct TV until 2010, so maybe you have Direct TV. I have Dish Network and I've been watching it since I got Dish Network in 2006.

Tennant will always be my doctor, but Matt Smith did an absolutely incredible job with the role. And to Smith/Tennant fans - admitting that the other one did a great job isn't being disloyal to the guy you love. They both did great work, and whoever plays Twelve is going to be incredible as well.

We never forget a DR , this is the law Matt, I hope you find a movie or an other sci fi to play , to be again at Comic Con! This Dr Who show is a theatrical kind of show is not like movies or tv series. Has a British Theatrical view! if you see most of the Dr Who from 1963 to 20now has a mystery theatrical smell! The Greek Drama and British Shakespeare , and the mystery of Agatha Cristi! is very .... you know British. And I like it ( I never been at British ) but I like it.

I have been going through this since the 4th doctor. You will always have a special place in your heart for your first doctor, but Peter Capaldi has chops and he will do just fine. Doctors come and go, companions come and go, writers come and go, show runners come and go. I still miss when Douglas Adams used to write and episode or two back in the day, special effects were not great but writing has always been this shows strength. Some better than others, but there are always enough well written ones during a season to keep it fun. Even with David Tennant years where the writing became too predicable... there were still great episodes.. Blink, The Girl in the Fireplace....those were outstanding.
