I want to believe , I truly do. And I still do, but I'm not fully convinced. Legally the NFL is chartered and codified into law as "entertainment," not as a "sports league." Under the legal designation of a sports league, fair play must be adhered to. It's simply not true with the NFL. And that is a sad state of affairs. Huge comebacks like this are always on both teams, the one making the mistakes, and the one capitalizing on them. Such a shame that that horrible defensive call ended the game. Had Kupp just made a sensational play against a great defense, you applaud him. But to give the best receiver in football that golden opportunity is very hard to swallow, especially after the miracle comeback to tie it. Well these things really aren't the same. Mahomes is young and known for scrambling while Brady is a 44 year old known for being immobile. Mahomes also had all his skill position players aside from Helaire (I think?) while Brady went into this game without Godwin, AB, Grayson, Rojo while losing Johnson and Darden in the second half. While the Bucs defense played great last year I still don't think they compare to the combination of AD, Miller, and Floyd.

The Rams out played the Bucs, plain and simple. Yes the Rams made 4 huge mistakes that let the Bucs backs in it. But one, the Rams had played good enough to offset these. And two, look at how much of an epic beat down this would've been without those 4 mistakes. Without those fumbles and bad snap we are all talking about how Brady's age has finally caught up with him. The 28-3 SB comeback and this one here are very, very different games and showed very, very different play from TB12. No I don't think Brady is washed up or should retire, he just had a bad game. But I also don't think Brady was let down by his team, he deserves his share of the blame for the loss, he didn't play great.
