This song resonates with me in a lot of ways. I now face divorcing the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I know that I'm not soley at fault for our marriage falling apart, but sometimes I wish I had tried harder to be attentative to the small things that made her happy, which I was never good at. I've always been a provider. Worked as many as 70 hours a week so she could be a stay at home mom. But affection, and grand gestures of affection was never my strong suit. When I think about all the little things she did to let me know she loved me, the notes she wrote me, I feel like a fool. Like maybe if I had just tried harder, maybe this would have never happened. It was never any big thing that caused our marriage to fall apart. We even for the most part get along now, and we're still good friends... We put raising our son first, and I want my son to learn from my example in how I treat his mother to be the precedent for how he treats women... but man I miss her. I don't believe that there is such a right thing as a right person in this world. I believe love is a choice. And man, if I could go through it one more time, I would make sure I never missed an opportunity to show her what she meant to me. The truth is fellas, that love, being the provider, and the protector, isn't enough. Romance helps breed life into a relationship. Nurturing sustains that relationship. You need all of these things to make a relationship last and work. Thank you for this beautiful song Matt.

you know i will say this song speaks so much truth.. girls if a man truly cares and loves you, he will devote his life to you. yes i found this song before my man but you know it hasnt been easy for him and i either he has a son i have a daughter and its a distant relationship same state but a 4 hour drive to one another. but its going on 5 years been together 4 different times but each time it is different we've learned more about one another trust was lost but gained. not pointing fingers because in a relationship it is a partnership not a one way street. so if your partner is a one way street then maybe hes not devoted to you, somethings arent lined up. communication and trust is what gets you through. otherwise i dont think i would be standing here with a step son that loves me and a man would do anything to make me smile or make sure my day is better than his. keep your heads up bc god will put the right one in your life at the right time

Wished men would just understand this..I have wasted so many tears on men and when you tell them what's wrong they don't hear you out or fix the problem so I had no choice but to walk away. Not all men are bad though. I found an amazing man but lost him last Feb unexpectedly he passed away. There's some amazing ones out there but by the Grace of God may we all find one! I raised my 3 sons to be gentlemen, I raised them to be the man I needed in my life and for that their girlfriends thank me for how great my sons treat them. I truly dont know if ever my angel without wings will ever see or read this but a year ago i lost my 20 year old son in a car accident, i thought i would never overcome it but melody mascardo stood beside me through it all, i put her through so very much, not as far as treating her but as the depression n crying n hate n anger i felt, she truly was my rock n god truly did send a angel without wings to me, i listen to this song n tell her everyday how beautiful, amazing, kind, sweet, loving n caring she is n that im lucky enough to be blessed by God to give me my soulmate my love of my life n the one i cant wait to get old with n make memories with n show the world that love truly still exists even in this crazy world...

Love This! My soon to be Husband makes me and my kids feel this way everyday! I thank God for him everyday, after 27 years of being mentally and physically abused, it's all I knew, till I woke up and let him in my life and I let him know all the above as much as I can knowing he's had a rough way too, works both ways, it's the right way! This song is beautiful....It really is a two way street. Men feel the need to be loved too. The thing is, some men don't know how to receive love and because of that, they don't know how to show it either.
