Technically I’m their second bout Pentagon owner him for most of the match and only lost cause of Vampiro but I get what ur trying to say... although who would u have ended the one on one streak.

I wondered the same thing after watching the whole thing recently. he looked like he wasn't at 100% and there are 2 possible theories to make it make sense: 1. we know some of the wrestlers are gods in human form. it wouldn't be too far fetched if rey mysterio (the greatest luchador ever) was a (demi)god and after matanza supposedly killed him at the end of season 3 he was cursed and lost some of his power. 2. after the match when he almost gets his arm broken, cueto shows him the (magical?) keychain and suddenly he is able to overpower pentagon and get out of the hold. this can mean the key is the source of his superhuman power. and without it (and his father's influence over him) he is just a mere mortal. which is why cueto slaps matanza after the match, disappointed that his son can't win on his own and is reliant on the key's power. kinda like mil muertes and his magical stone
