Extraordinary! I love that the indoor arena is right there by the boxes/stalls. No traveling outside to get to it so you can avoid weather or any outside distractions. Fabulous. Like the owner, I too function better without clutter so his 'you can't see it' ideas are perfect. But let's talk about that graffiti! Seriously, unlike any stable you have highlighted or that I have seen online. It feels young and fresh and SO clean and tidy. And I would be remiss if I didn't talk about that green lawn with the jumps or the indoor "social" area. In all my dreams I couldn't have imagined this one. Dear Lord, in my next life, plunk me down in this environment. I promise I'll give back.

That's a stable for humans and not for horses. Imagine your horse in a stable with an open riding arena with all this dust floating around and constantly breathing into the lungs of the boxed horses. Horses belong outside fresh air. Sorry but I would never put my horse in one of this fancy stables. No wonder they mostly die young age. As I follow mads videos I know he cares for his horses very well and the live a happy life out in the fields were they belong.
@JustMe-FromMO-USA2 жыл бұрын
@@romanaschwemlein2533 Some very valid points and things to consider for certain. I suppose I figured they would have a good air filtration and wouldn't put it so close if it were a danger to the horses. It would certainly be something I would consider. Thank you for making some food for thought.

What an amazing place! Love the straw being used in this way it looks beautiful! I once saw a house building show on TV that features "unusual buildings being built" and in 1 episode there was a couple that wanted to use straw to build structure of the entire house. At first I thought they must be crazy to even try it but the end result was stunning.. They kept parts of the straw walls visible as "feature walls" and plastered the rest. The nice extra was that the straw insulated the house so good that during hot summers it stayed cool and in the winter they did not have to use much heating for the same reason. I like it when people believe in their vision and build barns or stables that are different.. They did an amazing job!

I really like the stables. The pull out drawers for each horse next to the stall. The different turfs as there was the indoor arena in the stables so no need to go outside, the outdoor with exquisite sand, and then the grass turf, which looked well cared for and not over ridden. I also enjoy things being very neat and tidy. Cameras are so prolific now that most stables that have electric can have them and they can be cheap for one that just sends an image every so often but with a barn like that I would expect to be able to check on the horses via video anytime I wanted. The fireplace and social area like the outdoor seating would have me chatting with my friends about horses until we had to leave. What I would suggest is the option of the mountable cameras for riders where if you wear an arm band it follows your movement and records. This has been personally helpful to watch myself in training/working and see how I feel I am riding vs what I actually look like and what feedback I would give myself - straighten my back, heels down more, guided the horse off in steps to the jump and did I notice that?. That way I can constantly work on my own skills to hone them into being a better rider and feeling when I shortened the stride and didn't notice or had my hands too high. It's something another trainer had me do as we would have a lesson and then I would record myself working on that one thing we worked on in the lesson plus everything I had previously been taught and my homework between lessons was to watch the videos and identify my mistakes and see if I could fix them. By the end of the week and my next lesson I submitted a tape of my best ride and I had my notes and we discussed if the trainer saw the same issues I did and made sure I knew how to fix them and that they were not showing up every week. Then I learned something new in that weeks lesson and recorded all over again.

This is the reason I find it very difficult to click on these kinds of videos because seeing the horses living an unnatural life makes me sad. If I had this kind of money I would think about the horses quality of life first and spend all the money to make them happy and healthy to live like a horse. I’d think less of myself but the only thing I’d like it a heated and cooled indoor arena that is huge for riding in every weather situation.

I really don't understand the 'prison' or critical comments on the stables. Those horses are living in an amazing stable! Clean, low dust, great light, open. Did anyone notice the wash rack had heat lights? I saw acres of beautiful land, top notch footing in their arenas. Clearly they are well cared for and I'm guessing they receive THE BEST vet care and nutrition. They speak lovingly of their animals and she was giving scratches to a horse with their head out like she does it all the time. For those of you being critical and calling it a 'prison,' you sound like you know nothing about horses or their care. For your edification, horses are like 1000 pound toddlers. They are prone to accidents and creatures of flight so they can panic and hurt themselves. THUS, structures have to be relatively spartan and safety is everything. For those of you negative commenters, how would you improve this facility?
