Enjoy your videos have a question you probably allready answered this question a million times but do the ships have a controller like air traffic controller when planes in the air flying to make sure you guys don't run into each other or do you guys get a quarternince paper your captain has to fallow from each port to port or do they talk to someone allthe time like pilots do
@JeffOnboard2 ай бұрын
This is not my area of expertise, but I know they plot their course, and when they get in and out of ports, we have a pilot who is an expert in the local Waters and comes aboard to guide ship into port... entering and leaving ports there is always a shipping channel and ships frequently pass each other coming in and out just like you would on a highway

How many other crewmen do the same job as you?
@JeffOnboard2 ай бұрын
We all do different jobs. Really the only people on the ship where there are multiple people with the exact same job are the AB's

jeff, have you ever been in fear for your life from rough seas or nasty storms ?

Hi Jeff what is the situation if you wanted to vote in your election if you are at sea?

I have never needed to do that but I believe you could just do an absentee ballot application
