Whitney Houston will forever be my all time favorite artist, performer, and voice. It's hard to put into words how much I admire her and the incredible impact her music continues to have on me today. So I decided that on August 9th 2016, what would have been her 53rd birthday, I would sing one my favorite Whitney tunes as a tribute to my musical idol.

Julia Mega he also is singing through a wet mic. That is what we call it in the industry. Not taking away from his singing abilities but his his vocals are ran through pro tools, etc. to keep his pitch in sync.

You're being polite, there's a lot of processing on those vocals, to an unnecessary degree, it makes it unenjoyable for me personally. I hate that digital twang that hangs on every note. He sounds like Kanye on some of the runs. The way he's forcing the vibrato on this song too...I would love to hear the live version.

Exactly. There's that stupid twang on the end of every note. There should be no reason to use all that processing on the vocals. Whitney surely didn't need it, nor did it probably exist back then. Strengthen your game and you won't need to rely on a computer to assist you. But then again who am I kidding, the music industry today is full of hacks that rely on post processing. 20-40 years from now the computers will be singing lol.
