My partner and I are looking at buying ZST vibe, we tested the Vibe and Essence we have chosen to go with the vibe. Vibe does come with the 1.5L CVT and honestly its really not that bad it was still a smooth drive. My partner and I are both photographers so we pack the cars to it's limits as much as we could fit. Yes the Essence handle it a bit better going up steep hill and general handling but with that said I have zero complaints about the vibe. Only thing I'm upset about is the vibe doesn't come with heated seats. I'm 6ft4 and even when I'm sitting in the front or back seats it's pretty good.

We are planning on driving from Melbourne to Brisbane and back so in total that roughly 4000km once we do that I'll let you know how the drive was.

I drive a MG ZST paid 33k for the top spec. It's crap. For many reasons. I just booked a rav4 awd cruiser hybrid. Current wait time is 2 years but I bet it will come down. Probably closer to 12 to 18 months. The mg zst uses premium petrol, you can't turn off or on the air con when your on a voice call, the sun roof has the most paper thin roof cover. So the car is on fire on a average sun day in Australia. The fake leather sux and gets super hot after a few minutes in the sun, you literally need to open the doors and let the car cool down. The touch screen has an almost 2 second delay between touches, it's frustratingly slow. So anyone saying buy a chinese car. Think twice. Think 3 times. Yes it's cheaper but so many things will piss you off about the car.

I have the exclusive 1.5 in Battersea blue its beautiful to drive has all the mods on it and I am in the uk. 8 cameras leatherette seats heated seats blind spot monitoring adaptive speed limiter . 5 USB ports on by the mirror and it's for the dash cam. What a class car for the money I paid £20017 as I had £255 back for car tax as mg paid the car tax but I put my free car tax on and they said keep the car tax money we paid as a thank you.

The MG ZS may have a 4 star safety review but so has my Ford Puma (which until last year had a five star rating) and many other cars tested in the last year due to new safety standards including some luxury ones. This means manufactures are updating models to ensure a 5 star rating but some cars will be more expensive.

Hi Jacob I'm Australia & my newly ordered MG ZST Essence 1.3L Turbo 2023 built April has arrived & delivered to me, it has no red T (zsT )badge put on it.... yet ....as l questioned it along with no service book, yet, which also l questioned both are to arrive Also l notice in your video there is a Pilot badge which l am assuming is standard ? I think maybe this is another item I should query ? Not a good start hey... Really must have driven something different. I love the styling but that’s about it. Didn’t realise that companies made “bad” cars anymore. The ride is atrocious, the seats are unbelievably uncomfortable, the tech failed in dangerous ways (wing mirrors refusing to fold out on a motorway, screen resetting when trying to read navigation directions!) and the engine and gearbox are hateful. Even simple tasks like updating the AC was laggy, forcing you to take your eyes off the road to see if it responded to the button presses or not. And the cruise control button stopped working during a drive (would increase speed but fail to decrease speed beyond the initially set speed) - buts like this are dangerous and completely unacceptable. People compare this to SUVs, but it’s much better to buy a smaller car for the same money that won’t leave you feeling sore and frustrated. Even the parcel shelf had broken within days, and how basic a piece of engineering is that to get wrong? I would take a Dacia, Renault, Skoda, Vauxhall, or practically any non-Chinese cheap car over this any day. Do not think you’re getting a bargain because it looks like an SUV - you are getting precisely what you paid for. Cheap crap. Remember your life is in their hands and think wisely!

Had a loan of one when our Hyundai was in getting paint. What a beautifully finished & equipped car. If you didn't drive it you would give it high marks. Then you drive it - motor best summed up as thrashy. Lacks power with poor fuel consumption. To add insult to MG the once famous name. Cecil Kimber would be turning in his grave. I have owned four MG's in my time.

The seats are lower quality than what you get here. Here you get dual tone, perforated leatherette seats instead of the black ones. The black ones comes on lower end ones. The dual tone perforated seats are much much much better. Also the infotainment system is from lowest end variants too. Also center armrest and center headrest + 3point seat belt are on mid variant n above.

Hmmm, it's a triple, no rear armrest, needs 95 RON, tombstone buckets, no rear centre headrest, small boot, not that cheap. It does have a proper auto, factory backed operation (no distributors), 7 year warranty... these are positives. On balance, it''s a no from me though.

In central europe we dont have option for this Trophy version. Only basic ZS with 1.5L TGI or 1.0L TGI with turbo which is the most powerful 82kW/111hp. No MG pilot for us... I would pick this 1.3L but rest of car is exactly same as normal ZS

My wife owned a new ZS EV for 90 days and 13,665km. It was a decent little car but let down by terrible suspension tune and a lane keeping system that borders on dangerous. Better cars are not much more expensive.

Just hired one in Tassie for a week over Easter. I can say it's very well made. However, I hate it. The steering is weird not hard but very tiring. The accelerator is jerky and makes driving unpleasant I have owned over 45 cars in 50 years and this is the worst!
