SAAAAAAAAAGE!!!! I couldn’t agree more with what you said here. From barely making the playoffs to having the most magical 3-game run with a 3rd-string QB to win the natty, that team couldn’t have been any more special. I was in a bar in Cleveland. When that WR came inside a blew up the freshman Bama LB (in the game because Jones had crunched the starting LB on the prior play) the whole run opened up. But the part that got me was the Ohio State receivers running down field were faster than the Bama DBs.

Tennessee is a great program and it is no reason u guys shouldn't be competing for Championships! As an Ohioan we've seen terrible times too! We've had our losses when it meant so much but u must persevere! U get back up again! That is what Ohio State does! Pride, Tradition, refuse to be last! Refuse to lose! That is what we are! Here in our State is pride top to bottom about Ohio State and the players feed off of it and the Coaches!

Thank you. And you said it, consistently dominant. Every other team in the country has down decades, or a down few years. Ohio State does not. They have NEVER had a 5 year period where they fell off the map. Every other team has. Alabama, Texas, Michigan, Miami, Nebraska. You name it. Look at the late 1990's. All those great Miami and Nebraska teams. Notre Dame. Where are those teams now? Ohio State was great in the 1990's, and they still are. So good observation. Consistently. Even in down years or a down few years, they are still ranked in the top 10.

I've been watching Ohio State football since 1985 and the 2002 season had to be the best in Ohio State history. They weren't the most talented team in OSU history, but every game was a nail-biter. There Were 9 games where OSU had to come from behind and finally defeated a Miami team that won 31 games straight. It was a miracle season.

When you look at this we gotta realize we have had it pretty good for 20 years..ya there are a few teams that have more titles, and ya a few have even got us head to head, and a few near opps at a few other Natties have been lost....but, 2 Natties, 10 BCS / playoff bowl victories, 12 Conference titles, and a boat load of highlights and great players is something to be really thankful for, and as much as they are hated there are about 105 to 110 teams that would love to have that resume this millenium..Ted Ginn Jr gotta be one of the most electric and exciting Buckeyes ever, if not THE most..😎❤️👊🏽🏈🍻

If clarett would have stayed, let's say all 4 years, he would have been the running back on the team with Troy Smith at qb, teddy ginn and santonio holmes at receivers with clarett at the rb position. Damn that team would have been tough as hell. I mean they were very good without clarett, just think how good they would have been with him in the backfield, damn. This is all assuming his years would have lined up like this, and I think they would have. Edit: And would have Anthony Gonzalez been able to be on that team as well???? If so then damm, that offense would have been killer!!!!

It’s eerie how similar the 2023 squad reminds me of the 2002 season. Especially looking at Krenzel/McCord. Then Clarett/Henderson.
