this is the shit. it's difficult for artists to stay raw, 'cos the natural thing for them to do is hone and craft, looking for perfection. orbital started raw, and that's why they were so good back then. the perfection sought generally tends towards the shiny, the polished, and that is where pop music resides. if i were them, i would force myself to stay in this 'fuck it up' frame of mind when playing the tunes live, keeping it as exciting and fresh for myself as for the people who want to dance and get totally lost in the insanity and chaos of the moment. that's where it all came from. i love orbital. long may they be doing shit like this.

Couldn't agree more. Saw the boys in Galway, Ireland in 2019 (Think) the crowd was wild and really up for it. The guys fed off the crowd and played a really loose raw set that blew the roof off the tent. By Phil's admission one of their best ever gigs. KEEP IT RAW & PHUKedUP

I also love some of the EPs such as Radicchio, Choice and The Box, which are different to the albums, well original Box not so much but you know what I mean

Not really into this most of this tune but when it changes at 7:15 is pants shittingly good. such a fucking quality break. that big beat style that is not around so much anymore for some reason. when i first heard it i was like "ohhh fuck , what the fuck is that? turn that up as loud as possible!" for me that sums them up they show glimpses of the divine. inspirational to any producer and still killing it all these years later
