Barbie has always been known for her dozens of careers and achievements, the glittery pink-focused look only really came into centre stage in the early 2010s, along with the major drop in quality that has continued to this day. You can't really compare a beautifully detailed 00s doll with realistic fashion to a modern one with a sad, undetailed and un-accessorised version of the same thing :/

I remember when Fashionistas came with that articulation. They started cheapening them down shortly before the new body types were released. :( I love the new dolls that are articulated with accessories! They're all on my list! That tub is so awesome, too! I hope we get more Made to Move Kens. It's too bad their debuts are in skin tones that are hard to match. Come on Mattel, surely you know people will be buying them for body swaps! I love those blind boxes! Yesterday was the first day of winter, and my store FINALLY got the summer ones in... But no kitty cats or food, just the originals, gold, and summer. But I got my shirts, darn it!!! I've been coveting that watermelon shirt for months!

I'm impressed with Polly Pocket's ability to bounce back and adapt to modern toy popularity. I remember when they scaled up to normal size toys and I thought "well I guess that's it, it can't compete being pocket-size" but they've scaled back down with newer ideas. Neat.

Mattel's quality really disappoints me... With such a large price tag, there's hardly ANY accessories, let alone NEW and unique accessories. The accessories are so repetitive, it's hard for me to consider spending $30-$75 on a Barbie playset with all the same accessories I have from another set, just in another color, as well as the fact that their material/playset designs are SO CHEAP. Their playsets used to be of so much more quality in the 90's-2000's and were filled with unique accessories, but after the Fashion Fever era, Mattel's Barbie has just gone DOWNHILL in my opinion. I wish Barbie would partner with food brands in real life and put their labels on the food items, instead of it just being colored plastic...

Mattel should make Pride or LGBTQ+ doll line. It’s important that children learn about acceptance. +When I was younger I used to like to play with my dolls in a family setting. The dolls always represented my parents and family members. If a kid had Trans or Gay (etc) parents they would want representation too!

Well the thing is the only dolls that are definitely straight are barbie and Ken ,But even that doesn't matter when they're outside the package. Mattel leaves it up to the kids to decide everything about the doll, including orientation. If a person doesn't teach their children they shouldn't judge people in general, That's on them. A subtle but informative cartoon for children is The loud house, which has good lessons in general.
