Great review! It really sucks that they botched this variant of McQueen… again, though. It’s insane that these factories nowadays can’t make a product that stacks up to the one released 16 years ago… especially the Thailand factory, because I expected better from them based on their Cruisin’ McQueen which actually looks pretty decent.

I don’t know why this paint job wasn’t kept in the sequels. It should’ve been used in the Cars 3 flashbacks at least, to perserve continuity.

My favorite version of RS Mcqueen is the China version. I mostly always prefer China variations because they were much more cleaner looking and are I'm more familiar with them since that's where they were made when started collecting, so also for nostalgia reasons. Thailand however makes their cars more metallic looking which a plus for them, but some ex-China cars don't transfer to Thailand too well. Great video!

6:24 The only McQueen they just need to do with the punch holes for Mater to tow is the Cars 3 Lightning McQueen so if Mattel makes Cars 3 Lightning McQueen from Thailand again but with the punch holes for Mater then that’s every Thailand Lightning McQueen Diecast with those holes for Mater to Tow.

Darn this Thailand variant of RS McQueen is a real letdown in my opinion. The Chinese version is far superior since this Thailand variant has just horrible decals and the eyelids look horrible because they aren't metallic and don't match the rest of the paint. I am still glad they re-released him, but man they really botched this one. Also, I have seen zero of him at Walmart and about 10 Roadette Markers 😂. I think I've even seen more of Roadette than Eric Braker which is really surprising. Also, I agree that Thailand Cruisin' McQueen is superior to Thailand Radiator Springs McQueen. Anyways, it's nice he's finally been released from Thailand, but not the best Thailand release in my opinion. Great video as always, Mr. Docket!

In Cars Mater National and Cars Race O Rama, Radiator Springs McQueen also had a Rust Eze logo on his spoiler, which is something that you didn't know or better said forgot, also, Radiator Springs McQueen in 2009 was released with Pink decals, Pink eyes and Pink teeth, which is something that you also forgot to mention, most people think that the Pink Radiator Springs McQueen is a factory error, but i would love to have Pink Radiator Springs McQueen because Pink is my favorite color

You'd think that since they already have versions of this style of paintjob done from thailand, he'd be the best version he could possibly be, but no, unfortunate since I was thinking I could use this version as a replacement for my 2 decade old RS McQueen, I don't usually try to be negative but I guess seeing a butchered version of a pretty cool release does that to some people, Still it was cool seeing all the Metallic McQueens back out again, I really love the HHCP one he's super cool and nostalgic.

I will never understand just why these Thailand variants are all so bad with the decals. It's been that way for what, 5 years almost? It's not acceptable quality and honestly it's a big reason I stopped buying new variants, the Chinese ones did decals far better in pretty much every way, some even had the glossy clear coat too so that can't be the problem. Just wish I knew how they got so bad going from China to Thailand. More worth it to go for the original versions at this point even if they are getting up there in price.
