I think the video is playback, and the piano sounds is coming from 1 or possibly 2 piano plugins called NOIRE (main piano sound + maybe some key- and additional felt noises) and UNA CORDA (some sound effects like chair creeking and some tape noise), but of course we should assume that he recorded the MIDI performance. I think Matteo makes very good beautiful piano music, and the sound design work on the piano sound and sound effects is really excellent. I think he has big talent for composing for piano, but I think he has even bigger talent for aound design which I really like in his works.
