The proprietor was such a good sport. You can tell that he takes pride in what he makes. It's more than food and pastries to him; it's culture, it's history, it's family, it's passion. Really beautiful when you really think about it. Hope this video bring him many new loyal customers.

Wow Matteo...good pick! Their ciambelle (doughnuts) look perfect and just like in Italia. We live in Abruzzo half the year, and I always get a ciambella in the pastry shops there. They are huge (it's Abruzzo, after all), light as air, not too sweet, and not greasy. The arancine/i look fantastic, also. Loved the explanation of the east/west difference in the fillings. Thanks also for doing part of the interview in Italian.

This year i could not go on vacation , i broke my leg. Next year i go back to Italy ! I live in Belgium and we have here a great cuisine . But the Italian cuisine is for me the best on earth. Every region has it's own specialty's . The passion of the owner of Pane Pasta says it all . Love for tradition and food with Italian flair , what more do you need!

The cannoli made by our local Napolitani and Sicilian family pastry places used whipped ricotta with a drop of creme de cacao in it and ground pistachios on the ends or glazed fruit.

OMG, just yesterday I was really wanting cannoli. I was leaving a doctors appointment and googling where I could get them in Las Vegas, but I finally didn’t because I figured that I would be disappointed in what I actually got. (We don’t have very good pizza, bagels, donuts, or much of anything special).

We have a little Italy in Hartford, Ct ,which unfortunately has been shrinking over the years due to the Italians moving out and Hispanics and other people moving in .I have been to some Italian Bakeries and tried Arancini,Spinach-potato pie ,pizz a ,different cookies and rum cakes. Matteo you seemed a bit quiet ,yet your arms looked so buffed.

random observations 2:28 here but if you didn't know (as if) chin chin means penis in japanese 2:57 i had no idea that bombolino was an italian sweet!! in parts of ethiopia, it is used as term of endearment (ie, my bombolino would be like my sugar pie or my honeybun)
