Omgosh Chris you have the best job! Behind the camera, filming everything, hearing all the jokes and stories,watching them put the ingredients together and learn the recipe then get to sample the finished dish. My great grandmother had a restaurant in North Beach. Our whole family lived together. I grew up using olive oil and butter together. And cooking with everyone on the weekends. Such fun watching Mateo, I felt like I was back in our kitchen cooking with my tio, who lived in the Castro. 😉

THIS is my kind of cooking. When did we switch to “make it as fast as possible” ? Good food takes a little time and the process is creative and enjoyable. If you want to use that (awfully overused) phrase - it’s mindful. I enjoy cooking and baking. Always have. You make your pasta almost the same as mine, although mine has garlic in it and more herbs. Matteo has lovely friends and lovers. He deserves happiness, he has me in stitches often. I don’t know why but my favourite is when he said the Italian for “gay” - is “gay” in an Italian accent and then demonstrated. I laughed out loud. ❤❤❤😊
