I just love Ningen Isu. They obviously don't care about trends or playing "easy-listen" crowd-pleasers and just "do their thing" ... Their songs are multilayered and complex, with some really interesting lyrics. Just awesome all around. Their song "Namahage" is also super fun, if you want another one.

Seeing someone hear Ningen Isu for the first time is always a great time! I think I found them a few years ago and I was blown away. This is why I love KZbin so much, I would have never found bands like this without it. And Japanese Uncle Fester is just badass. I _love_ his sound.

LOL, thank you for the giggle. I'm glad I wasn't the only one....also true about this band and so many others. I play a music sharing game with some family members. I introduce them to different bands and genres and they do the same for me. The HU's 'Sad But True' led me to the original video. Kick ass Mongolian rock band that I also would not have found without youtube.

These guys have become one of my very favorite metal bands over the past couple years I’ve been listening to them. I highly recommend listening to their latest studio album “Shin Seinen.” It’s positively full of great tracks. And if you’re interested in getting into more Japanese metal I highly recommend listening to Band-Maid, specifically the live at Shibuya versions of their songs Play, Domination, and Freedom.

This band absolutely rules. I've been into them for years and was really pleasantly surprised when a couple of years ago this track (Heartless Scat) blew up and brought them a lot more attention, I'd always wondered why they weren't more popular because they've got such a killer back catalogue and a really cool style. I don't quite understand what it is about the Heartless Scat MV that made it so popular though, you'll see them rocking the same style and equally as slamming tunes in all their other MV's. As others have said, The Colour Out of Space is an awesome one of theirs (also HP Lovecraft inspired which is always a huge bonus). I'll also recommend Great King of Terror, Voice of Nothingness, Namahage, and Lovers Suicide in Shinegawa.

Great reaction to a great band. Maybe have a look at "Toshishun" by them, it's great as well. I discovered Ningen Isu last year and they quickly became one of my favourite bands. Rock is definitely very much alive, if one knows where to look. Another fantastic band, though they are not metal but rather hard rock, is The Warning, a power trio of sisters from Mexico.
