I am laughing at your comment because I was a bit like you until something suddenly happened to me at the tender age of 59. I was divorced at 30, spent 20 years in and out of relationships and then went on a “hiatus” for 9 years. I had decided I just wasn’t the type to be married in my old age and I was ok with it. Out of the blue, my first love whom I met in 12th grade contacted me. I didn’t want to see him because I had recently gained 50 pounds so I looked nothing like I used to. I avoided him but I was backed into corner and was kind of “forced” into seeing him again. He first contacted me in 2012 and we didn’t come face-to-face until March 2016. We are now married and have been together ever since. Now here is the strange part and how it ties into what Matt was saying. Remember how Matt said the soul mate can appear in and out of your life until you finally connect? He and I had always been apart due to distance. Over the years we had gotten back together and broken up 3 times until I married my ex-husband and he married someone else. We remained apart for 30 years before we finally got together. I had always been told by my best friend that Joe and I would always get back together. I had my doubts. Fast forward years later, I was in a very serious relationship and decided to see a psychic to find out what will happen with that relationship. The psychic told me I wasn’t going to stay with the guy I was currently with but an old boyfriend from my teen years would come back into my life and I will end up with him. If the dead can see our future then our destiny has to be predetermined, thus we don't have free will. The only way I can get my head around us having free will when the dead has the ability to see our future is, we are living the same lifetimes over again with the opportunity to make different decisions during each life in order to change them. If that is true, then how many lives or lifetimes do we have to experience before moving on to heaven ?

I think it's the opposite; the dead only see the most likely outcomes out of many possibilities. Even when we make different choices, there are certain things that will eventually happen. I also think we reincarnate and live different lifetimes to evolve and experience different perspectives. Hopefully it is the soul's choice to reincarnate and I also think the quality of lives matter over the quantity.

Spirit are seeing “possible” outcomes in your future. These possibilities change as soon as you lose interest in continuing your current path or don’t pursue or take the action needed for it to come to fruition. So yes you do have free will, as they’re only making estimates based on your personality, and your previous choices and actions, they are also aware of how you think about things and deal with circumstances. The spirit world is all around us, we are just vibrating on a different frequency. As soon as you die and leave your body, you’re automatically in the spirit world.

This is very interesting in that free will is something that people need to understand because of the choices we all make. People have a tendency to blame God for every heinous thing that goes wrong including the holocaust or any act of genocide etc…why doesn’t God stop the horror? Because the perpetrators are making the decisions through free will given us by God.
