I would go on an annual golf trip with a group of friends, one of them was a notorious club thrower. We would have a pool to bet on what hole he would throw his driver on. Usually, whoever had the 2nd or 3rd hole won the pool. Thanks for another great video in your Break the Course Record series.

Great video but I have an honest question for everyone in the comments and maybe if Mr. Fryer or Mr. Finch would like to chime in as well: what is everyone's thoughts about walking in the line of a putt? I have always tried my hardest to not do that due to etiquette but what does everyone else think? Does it actually affect anything with the putt?

For added pressure you should have to use at least 6 opening shots of each. Thats a rule we usually use have in Finland in 2 person scramble competitions.( dont know if it is used everywhere)

Q "Why can't all courses be like Wallasey?". A Because not everyone can afford a £235 green fee! I played about a mile along the coast at leasowe for £30 last weekend. It is not in the same league as wallasey, but it has 6 or so decent links holes, the same views as Wallesey, and gave me a taste of the links world that i cannot afford.

So are you guys trying to beat the scramble record?? Or are you just trying to beat the standard single person course record? Not sure if courses actually keep a 2 man scramble course record. Just curious to how official this is. I mean 2 scratch golfers in a scramble format shouldn't have any problem beating a single persons course record. I'm surprised you only beat it by 1 stroke. Do like the content though. Just wish you made it a little clearer on how official this record really is.

Just an fyi....in a scramble, it's preferred lies everywhere. You don't need to drop in the rough or play plugged lies in bunkers.

Brian Morgan from Swansea shot 64 at that course but didn’t get to register the score due to the Clubhouse being close due to Covid and He didn’t have a Mask on to enter, They refused to let him in without a mask after the Match, We never returned after that Day, And never will. 3 others witnessed the score card .. -7 under . One of them was a Eagle , rest were Birdies ,

Great Video Chaps , but a little tongue in cheek when it comes to beating Grahams' record as having two chances on every hole is a good advantage. That said, I enjoyed the golf and the golf "banter" that most golfers often have with their mates. Wallasey is a course that needs a good wind to focus the mind and you chappies enjoyed the conditions and played well.
