Hi... quick question. Have you ever managed to rec into DAW directly from sp 606 via usb (used as audio interface). My MPC soft and Maschine see it and allow me to use it bun not to record internally...
@MattGreerMusic4 жыл бұрын
No I don't think the 606 allows for that unfortunately. The 555 can be an interface but I don't think the 606 can.

@@MattGreerMusic 606 can be used as an interface, I managed to record from my daw to SP but the signal was weak

@@ermusic3572 is right on the money. Ironically the 606 was 1st to allow for USB audio/midi integration...followed by the 555 and of course the new 404mk2. Issue is Roland stopped offering support for the higher operator g systems due to costs. Unless I'm wrong Linux current has it working for the 606( I hope I'm wrong as I would LOVE to run it with my Windows 10 PC)

Is there a way to use the 606 as a controller with windows 10?
@MattGreerMusic4 жыл бұрын
I've honestly never tried it but it does have a midi output that sends CC values so if you have midi on an interface or something, that should work. I don't know if it's possible over USB or not.

Is there a chromatic aka keyboard mode on this unit ?
@MattGreerMusic4 жыл бұрын
Nope. It's like the other SP's in that regard.

It does have great time-stretching and pitch shifting you can resample though. So, in a way, it's got you covered. Just no automatic 'turn into keyboard' pad slicing. But hardly any sampler from that era has that anyway. You'd be looking at something like an MV8000/8800.
